The stars don't form a picture of the animals. The animals are "ghosts" that are unseen to the physical eye.
Anyhow, there are 2 zodiacs of astrology signs, and one of them rotates, the other stays in the same place. The stars themselves rotate around the "cardines" which means the first days of the seasons each year.
So there is the zodiac of stars. 12 horoscope signs. The second zodiac has no stars, only divisions of a circle. It begins the first day of Spring.
